Well, I was fortunate enough to receive an invite to Vox. I've created my blog there and I love the new format. I likely will make most of my posts there in the future. I have no intention of leaving Livejournal of course. It just seems that Vox is somehow inspiring me to make posts more often. I think part of that is because they post a Question of the Day sitewide which really helps to get the juices flowing.

It reminds me of my time back in Ms. Lindersmith's Literature course. Everyday she would pose a question on the chalkboard for us to consider. We had five minutes to pour out our thoughts as unedited as possible about the question at hand.

I think that is why journalism has suited me so well over the years. It is so much easier to write about a subject on demand than it is to write creatively when there are so many options available to explore. Narrowing the focus can sometimes get the ball rolling.  Often in interesting ways.
