Home Again
Back home, safe and sound. Finland was great and I enjoyed my visit to Estonia as well. More on both later. The journey home was endless and exhausting, and god, I hate the TSA, especially the ones at Chicago O'Hare. Petty pseudopolice drunk on their authority. But never mind. Tons of emails, a mountain of mail, much sleep to catch up on. I'll be digging out from under for a while. But lots of cool stuff happening too, on all sorts of fronts. I'll post what I can when I can. Next trip on the schedule is worldcon in Montreal. I have my program for that, and will post it here soon. I'm hoping to complete a few more chapters for DANCE before taking off. Still tugging, slashing, and cursing that Meereenese knot. Current Mood:  busy |

Spa Day! (sorry guys, ladies only)
Tomorrow afternoon I'm continuing the birthday celebration with a trip to the Olympus Spa in Lynnwood. I have an appointment for a body scrub at 2pm, so I plan to be there shortly after noon, and will probably bake myself for an hour or two afterward in their lovely lovely heated energy rooms. The Sounds!
I'm obsessed with The Sounds, am I the only one here? Theyre an awesome band from Sweden and the lead singer Maja is probably the coolest girl alive, what a babe! They all dress so well and their music is so fun. Its always stuck in my head. Their new album "Crossing the Rubicon" is amazing, even better than their last two! DARK ENTRIES OPEN AIR - gothic industrial indie fest Russia
 Андерграунд всегда отличался редкой способностью объединяться и поддерживать друг друга. О судьбе российского андерграунда, как и о его специфике, говорить излишне. Здесь нередко можно встретить представителей мейнстрима и слово андерграунд уже лишено того смысла, которое носило изначально. Здесь сложились свои правила, привнесённые со стороны шоубиза, где на передний план выходит всё что угодно, но только не первооснова – музыка. Однако у нас появилась неплохая возможность убедиться в том, что не всё так плохо. Возможность встретиться, обсудить массу проблем, с которыми мы сталкиваемся, и отдохнуть так, как это не делал ещё никто, соединяя в одном целом чистый воздух природы, теплоту общения и энергию музыки. Dark Entries - одна из немногих возможностей сплотить вокруг себя людей, разделяющих общие интересы, и сделать ещё один небольшой шажок для развития сцены. Здесь не будет наскучивших фраз про «настоящие» группы, ведь те, кто способен ради музыки пожертвовать благами цивилизации на пару дней, наплевав на бытовые неудобства, не нуждается ни в каких подтверждениях своей подлинной любви к музыке, благодаря именно таким людям мир не стоит на месте, и ты можешь занять своё место среди них.
Open Air фестиваль пройдет в уикенд 7 и 8 августа 2009 года (40 минут на городском автобусе или 25 минут на электричке от Воронежа). ЧТО НАДО СДЕЛАТЬ ЧТОБЫ ПОПАСТЬ НА ЭВЕНТ?

Blargh!! I feel dry poached. Yes it's a real term and yes it's completely contradictory. DON'T ARGUE WITH ME! I got this stupid $40k debt for something. *dry heat makes me pissy* Raksha is laying on the floor, drugged and sleeping. Her spaying went fine but she is wearing a Cone of Shame cause she refused to stop licking her stitches. So she's a bit upset, she's running into things cause she's not used to her head being to big. The heat can't be helping her any. Donated plasma today, got $25 for sitting and reading comics. If anyone needs cash and would be willing, I'm going again Wednesday and I've got a referral card to use for you. It's $25 the first time and then $40 the remaining times you donate. Tomorrow,I'm thinking about hitting up bimart for plants for the front beds I tore clean. |
